Photography has always been my passion. Now that the youngest of my 4 children are grown, I decided to take this passion to the next level and open a studio for Fine Portraiture: barbZappia photography.

My vision with my portraiture is to create pieces of art that will hang in the homes of my clients to enjoy for years. I want to be the one that helps freeze their memories that will be cherished now and for generations to come.

I consider myself a Real Life Photographer. Nothing is more exciting to me than preserving real life moments for you that will last for generations: the evolving personality in a child's expression, a mother tenderly touching her pregnant belly with love or a newborn lying in the arms of its mother or father. High School seniors are especially fun when they sit for their senior portraits. I enjoy seeing their visions of themselves, their excitement and emerging glamour, while turning those visions into lasting memories. I never tire of these moments; this is what makes photography my art.
